about

'Sàmhach' means silence in Scottish Gaelic. The string quartet simply responds to the environment, wherever and whenever it may be. This album was recorded to tape, in this order, one winter afternoon in November 2015 by Douglas MacDonald at the Buccleuch Free Church, Edinburgh. Tim Vincent-Smith (Sink), Kate Young (Songs of Separation) Mairi Campbell (Pulse) Atzi Muramatsu (Lipsync for a Lullaby).
